High precision bearings for combined loads Axial/radial bearings, Axial angular contact ball bearings, Axial/radial bearings with integral angular measuring system

With its forward-looking bearing arrangement solutions for feed spindles, main spindles, rotary tables and linear guidance units, Schaeffler Technologies GmbH & Co. KG has been at the forefront of the world market for decades. The bearing components alone, however, are often no longer the decisive factor for these machine subsystems.

Slippage? – No problem!

Slippage is the natural enemy of bearings. Schaeffler Group Industrial is presenting its first rolling bearing that is not only resistant to the effects of slippage but also prevents slippage from occurring in the first place – the new FAG tube roller bearing. The special feature of this bearing is that it contains three newly developed tube rollers instead of conventional rolling elements.

Multi-Body Simulation Makes Wind Energy More Efficient

Rolling bearing supports in wind turbines are subjected to high, extremely alternating loads and a wide range of low and high speeds depending on the installation point. They are at the core of the drive train and therefore of the entire turbine. Accordingly, rolling bearing development takes account of the entire wind turbine system with the dependencies and interactions of its individual drive train components.

Bearings for wind tracking and blade adjustment

Wind turbines must be aligned to the wind conditions. The tower and the rotor blades are adjusted so that they make optimal use of the wind conditions and are not subject to excessive loads that could cause damage. Tower and blade adjustment are therefore significant prerequisites for cost-effective operation of wind turbines.

“Schaeffler Hybrid” – a car full of ideas for e-mobility

The Schaeffler Group has developed a car full of ideas called the “Schaeffler Hybrid”. The vehicle is part of an advance development project that enables a practical comparison of the various options available for e-mobility to be made. The vehicle demonstrates various vehicle configurations and driving conditions. This means the Schaeffler Hybrid not only has a volume produced combustion engine from a basic vehicle, but also has a central electric motor and two wheel hub motors.

Axial/Radial Bearings

The double direction axial bearings suitable for flange mounting and with a radial guidance component correspond essentially in their design, mounting dimensions, rigidity and load carrying capacity to the established YRT bearings. As in the case of the latter bearings, they can support high radial forces, axial loads from both directions and tilting moments free from clearance and with high rigidity.
